Miami it's an American city of the state of Florida. It is the county seat of Miami-Dade. It has 682,092 inhabitants, while the metropolitan area is the largest in the state with 2.1 million, reaching five million, when counting the neighboring counties of Broward and Palm Beach. The modern city has its origin in a village created in the late nineteenth century, which flourished with the railway, iron and the port. Miami is also known for having a large community of exiled Cubans, mainly concentrated in Little Havana.
Miami is a tourist center, one of the most visited cities by Tourists in the United States because of its warm climate all year round, and beaches. The city is one of the most visited by snow birds (A term used to describe the inhabitants of the northern U.S). of America, who spend the winter in southern states, especially Florida, to get away from the snow and cold). Tourism has become an important source of Income for Miami in the 1920s, and is currently the main income source of the city.
It is commonly spoken in the city besides English language, the Spanish language, due to number of Hispanic-Americans (Cuban, Puerto Rican, Mexican and other Central American countries) living in Miami. The city also has a large Jewish colony.
On the outskirts of town is the Miami International Airport, which is the second busiest airport in the state, behind only the Orlando International Airport. This airport is being updated with some great remodeling, This will enable the operation of large jets like the A380, Airbus and others large aircrafts.
Many immigrants are in Miami, or at least immigrants arriving on their travels to Miami because of its proximity to Central America, and also the city situated on the coast, thus facilitating access to the United States of America through the coast.
